Tim Hortons restaurants in Markham, Ballantrae, and Stouffville raise record $120K from 2025 Smile Cookie Campaign for Markham Stouffville Hospital
Tim Hortons restaurant owners of Markham, Ballantrae, and Stouffville proudly announced they raised an incredible $120,064.29 through this year’s Smile Cookie campaign — all in support of Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH).
“We’re so grateful for the outpouring of support for this year’s Smile Cookie campaign from Tim Hortons guests across Canada. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we topped our previous Smile Cookie record,” says Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons.
Since the first-ever Smile Cookie campaign in 1996, the annual charitable campaign has raised more than $151 million in total for local charities and community groups, which are selected every year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners. For MSH Foundation alone, the campaign has raised more than $1 million since 2007, directly benefiting children and families cared for at MSH.
The Tim Hortons restaurant owners of Markham, Ballantrae, and Stouffville have made a $500,000 commitment to MSH through the Smile Cookie campaign. In recognition of their generosity, the hospital has proudly named a paediatric surgical waiting room in their honour.
“We are very grateful and proud to be the long-standing beneficiary of the annual Smile Cookie campaign in Markham, Ballantrae, and Stouffville,” says Allan Bell, Vice President, Community Relations & Corporate Partnerships, MSH Foundation. “Tim Hortons’ continued support helps our hospital deliver essential programs and services for children and families, right here at home.”
Today, health care’s complex landscape is changing, along with our growing, diverse community. Government can’t fund all of MSH’s critical life-saving equipment and top priority needs. Dynamic partnerships and collaborations like this one enable MSH to enhance its critical departments with the best resources possible through community investment. Generous donor support is essential to the exceptional care that MSH patients are able to receive, close to home.
