My advice for women is to listen to your passion and purpose whispers. If it is giving back, then rise above life’s noise, and focus on what really matters to you. Step up and into philanthropy and the community.

Donations are required since government funding does not cover all of the costs to maintain and expand the hospital both operationally and physically. I consider my financial contribution as an investment in the hospital to be able to provide the best quality of care close to home.

When I was presented with the opportunity to join WITH MSH, I felt that even though it may not have been the perfect time for me, I was compelled to join and contribute to this amazing cause. I felt the need to do something good for my community while aspiring to model what’s possible with women-led initiatives for the next generation of women.

I've watched too many women face health challenges without enough answers — this is my chance to help change that. I want to turn awareness into action and create real change for women's health.

The support, advice, professionalism, and warmth that my family and I have experienced at MSH makes my decision to support the hospital a very easy one to make.

Seeing how compassionate care can transform lives, especially during moments of vulnerability, motivated me to contribute in a meaningful way. I believe everyone deserves access to excellent care, and supporting our local hospital is a powerful way to help make that a reality.

It’s important that women have a voice in shaping the future of health care. I firmly believe in empowering women to take on decision-making roles and this platform allows just that.

It’s not just about giving back — it’s about showing up, leading with intention, and building something meaningful together.

WITH MSH provides a golden opportunity to give back and to get to know other like-minded women in our community. I also like the fact that as contributors to WITH MSH, we will have the opportunity to have a direct influence on where and how our donations to MSH will be spent.

I work and live in the community (Markham) and feel proud and connected to the hospital through my involvement in volunteering and receiving health care over the years. As someone passionate about helping people, I love mentoring leaders to become more confident, especially women. WITH MSH is a chance to join a women-led group and network with women who support a worthy cause in our community.

My personal journey, shaped by our time at MSH, moved me to give back and help others navigate life’s most vulnerable moments.

WITH MSH represents a powerful collective of women who are passionate about reshaping the future of community health. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how collaboration and compassion can transform systems, and WITH MSH embodies those values. Having lived in Markham it’s an honour to contribute to a network that champions innovation, equity, and care for every family in our region.

I live in Markham and I have seen the incredible improvements and advancements made to the hospital over the last 35 years since it was built. My family and I have also received excellent care at the hospital over the years. I am very impressed, and I am confident that the leadership team is using donor funds in the most efficient and effective ways.

Your voice, your lived experiences, and your ideas matter more than you realize — and they can inspire others to get involved, too. This is why initiatives like WITH MSH are so important: they provide a supportive environment where we can help each other grow, find confidence, and create real change together.

I hope that my contribution to WITH MSH will help the hospital continue to grow and advance the life-saving technology we need to keep our community healthy.

Joining WITH MSH is deeply meaningful to me for many reasons. As an Asian Canadian, I believe in giving back to the community, supporting women-led initiatives, and contributing to improved health care.

Growing up in a family deeply rooted in health care, with doctors and administrators, I’ve always been passionate about improving community health. Joining WITH MSH allows me to channel my background and passion into meaningful initiatives that enhance well-being and support our local community.

My family and I have used many services at MSH over the past 35 years, so I’m thrilled to be part of the inaugural WITH MSH community and excited about the impact we will make for the future.
