With rapidly growing and aging population, the need for complex medical care isrising and many patients require longer hospital stays. Today, MSH operates 323beds across the hospital. When they are full, patients wait longer in the Emergency Department before admission. Our hospital’s resourceful health teams arecurrently leveraging flexible treatment areas to maintain our commitment totimely care. However, capacity remains a challenge.

A community investment of $400,000 will introduce 16 new beds to MSH, enhancing our hospital’s ability to provide care at the right place and the right time for more patients.

This generosity will also help advance our hospital’s long-term plan to grow programs and departments around real community needs, keeping care close to home so families and patients don’t have to travel far for essential services.
